KEITH GASPARD JOINS THE PENNSYLVANIA SPCA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Pennsylvania SPCA) is pleased to announce that Keith M. Gaspard has joined its Board of Directors. Gaspard is Managing Director in the Life Sciences Practice of Diversified Search Odgers Berndtson in Philadelphia, Pa., specializing in senior executive search assignments with clients in the life sciences and advanced technology industries.

“We are very excited about Mr. Gaspard joining our board of directors,” said Sue Cosby, Chief Executive Officer of the Pennsylvania SPCA. “His business expertise and passion for animals makes him an ideal addition and we are looking forward to working with him.”

Gaspard has worked with a diverse client base including Fortune 500 companies, small and mid-size public and private companies, as well as venture capital backed start-ups conducting search assignments for CEO's and other senior functional roles. Prior to joining Diversified Search, Gaspard was senior vice president for a global boutique firm where he established their Boston office, achieving strong revenue growth and profitability within the first year and leading their efforts nationally in life sciences. He began his career in executive search as a vice president of a top 20 retained executive search firm and was recruited to Heidrick & Struggles as a Partner.

“I am very excited about joining the board of the Pennsylvania SPCA, and I am looking forward to helping the organization advance its mission,” said Gaspard.

Gaspard has served on the Board of the Anne Grady Center and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for Outward Bound Philadelphia, and the Leadership Council for the Wistar Institute, a NCI-designated Cancer Center. He lives in Downingtown, Pa., with his wife, three dogs (two rescued), rescued cat and other miscellaneous pets.

About the Pennsylvania SPCA
Since 1867, the Pennsylvania SPCA, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization headquartered in Philadelphia, has been dedicated to rescuing animals from abuse and neglect, providing lifesaving care and treatment, and reducing pet-overpopulation through low-cost spay-and-neuter clinics. Through these efforts, the Pennsylvania SPCA prevents cruelty toward animals and promotes respect for their welfare, thus enhancing the lives of people and their companion animals throughout the state of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania SPCA operates adoption centers in Wellsboro, Centre Hall, Danville, and Montrose, Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia headquarters, located at 350 E. Erie Ave., houses a full-service animal hospital, obedience training academy, adoption facility and the Pennsylvania SPCA Humane Law Enforcement Department. Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control Team (ACCT), powered by the Pennsylvania SPCA , is contracted by the city to perform animal control, as well as finding homes for Philadelphia's thousands of stray and surrendered animals via rescue, foster care, and adoption.
