Animal Care and Control Team Powered by the PSPCA
On December 1, 2008, the City of Philadelphia awarded its animal control contract to the PSPCA. The contract for the Animal Care and Control Team Powered by the PSPCA (ACCT) went into effect on January 1, 2009. This represents the important investment the city has made in the lives of its animals. Philadelphians with questions regarding ACCT can email ACCT@pspca.org or call 267-385-3800.
Adoptions
In addition to the shelter at Pennsylvania SPCA headquarters, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and other adoptable companion animals can be found at ACCT's Adoption Center at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. The ACCT Adoption Center is open Monday through Friday 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Emergency Preparedness
Are you and your pets ready for an emergency or disaster? The City of Philadelphia's Office of Emergency Management has established guidelines for people and companion animals.
