Alex Kaufman is a marketing pet industry consultant and joined the Pennsylvania SPCA Board in 2019.
He worked in the pet industry for many years including Merial, which was the largest animal health company in the world, as Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Development where he helped build Frontline and Heartgard into category leaders. He co-founded a pet generic health company, FidoPharm and developed many strategic partnerships including the ASPCA. He also started a human quality, all-natural pet food company and developed strong relationships in the veterinary community. Prior to his animal health work, Alex was employed in senior marketing positions at Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and Novartis building many successful brands.
Alex received his bachelor’s degree in management from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his MBA in marketing from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Alex has a nine-year golden doodle named Cleo and is looking to add a puppy in the near future.
