Hi, I'm Tina, and I need your help

Protective custody dog

Hi, my name is Tina. I’m a young female husky rescued by the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement team. I’m in protective custody (kind of like witness protection) so I can’t show you my face.

Will you donate today to help animals like me? There are fifty dogs, just like me, in ‘witness protection’ at the Pennsylvania SPCA right now. Though you can’t see us, we are being rescued and cared for by the PSPCA each and every day. Not only was I saved, but I’m being loved until the day when justice is served and I can begin the search for a new and safe home.

I was in a whole lot of pain - I had TWO broken legs and I was suffering for over a WEEK! Lucky for me, a Good Samaritan noticed that something was wrong and they called the PSPCA’s cruelty hotline. Soon a kind man wearing a uniform came to get me. He brought me to the PSPCA’s hospital to get better. If I could talk I would have told them how grateful I was that someone was going to help me walk again and make the pain go away. I needed surgery to repair the breaks and medication to help me with the pain. I’m happy to say I’m on the long road to recovery.

So far, my multiple surgeries have cost more than $12,000; I don’t know what that means but I’m guessing it’s a lot. But I feel so much better and hope to soon be able to walk again. For now, I’m getting lots of rest…and lots of love too!

In the meantime, the nice officers at the PSPCA have filed charges against the person who did this to me. I’m not sure what it means, but they said they have filed misdemeanor animal cruelty charges and promise to get me justice. All I’m worried about is when am I getting my next treat!
