IKEA teams up with the PSPCA to show their love for pets, hosts adoption event Saturday, June 2

IKEA’s South Philadelphia Home Furnishings is showing their love for pets by teaming up with the Pennsylvania SPCA to host an adoption event on Saturday, June 2 from 1-3pm. IKEA, which recently launched the LURVIG collection designed specifically for four-legged family members, will create a beautiful outdoor space for adoptable dogs to meet potential family members, and even bring some dogs inside in the form of cute cutouts placed throughout the store.

The adoption event, which will feature 8-10 dogs looking for “furever” families, will act as a jumping off point for the partnership between IKEA and the Pennsylvania SPCA. Along with joining the mission to find families, IKEA will also be making the stay at the shelter more comfortable for several of the cat residents by remodeling the community cat rooms. These rooms, where cats can roam freely with their feline friends, will get a stylish upgrade thanks to IKEA making them comfortable for both cats and their human friends alike to interact and find their “purrfect” matches.

In addition to meeting adoptable animals, the day will also include kid-friendly activities like coloring and face painting, as well as delicious food courtesy of the IKEA café.
